Hospital room rates: 3 tiers Match your plan to the hospital you want

Use this as a guide when choosing a plan. If you fell seriously ill today, which hospital would you want to stay in? Your plan’s room benefit should be enough for that hospital, and always check the annual limit too.

Where a hospital’s price excludes meals or service charge, add about 25% before comparing it with your plan’s room benefit.

The room is only a small part of the bill

Most of a hospital bill comes from medicine, doctors’ fees, surgery, ICU and tests. From Team A17’s claim reviews, an average hospital stay costs about THB 230,000, and many critical illness cases exceed THB 1–2 million. Always look at the annual limit and comprehensive coverage alongside the room rate.

Your room benefit should cover a single room including meals and nursing service charges. If it falls short, you pay the difference yourself. Remember to allow for treatment costs rising every year with medical inflation.
